We are proud to announce that this June, DEFER returns to London for his most important UK solo exhibition to date: ‘ICON’, presented exclusively at Woodbury House.

This marks DEFER’s first time back in London since his critically acclaimed 2023 showcase ‘Spiritual Language’. Now, at the height of his creative momentum and global recognition, he brings an entirely new body of work to our Mayfair gallery — and with it, the energy, depth, and evolution of an artist who continues to push the boundaries of street and contemporary art.

DEFER’s recent trajectory has been nothing short of remarkable. His work was selected for the front cover of ‘Street Art Icons’ — a landmark publication by Wynwood Walls and Assouline, placing him alongside the most influential names in the history of graffiti and street art. His solo exhibition ‘Rogue Odyssey’ in Miami received widespread acclaim, followed by a monumental floor installation at the SCOPE Art Show during Miami Art Week.

‘ICON’ marks a pivotal moment: for the first time, DEFER’s permanent murals at Wynwood Walls — now viewed as contemporary landmarks — are being translated onto canvas. These new works give UK collectors the rare opportunity to experience these visual icons in a fresh, intimate format, right here in London.

Each piece on view has been created during a period of exceptional recognition for the artist — a reflection of his rising global influence, artistic mastery, and unwavering commitment to redefining visual language.

Adding to the excitement, DEFER will take up residency at Woodbury House in the lead-up to the exhibition, creating select pieces on-site and curating the show personally. This presents a unique opportunity for collectors, curators, and enthusiasts to engage directly with the creative process of one of street art’s most important living voices.
