RAMMELLZEE × TOXIC | ‘GEO METRODOME’

Hand-Finished Edition by TOXIC, 2026.

A collaborative limited edition print, released through Woodbury House in partnership with the Estate of Rammellzee — a series of twenty plus four artist’s proofs, each unique.

The underlying work is Rammellzee’s Geo Metrodome, a vibrant, cosmic exploration of form and colour reflecting his philosophy of Gothic Futurism. The composition is dominated by angular, weaponised shapes appearing in motion — colliding and interacting within a celestial landscape. Bold yellow and red tones contrast against a deep black ground, creating a dynamic sense of depth and energy. Spherical elements float among jagged, mechanical forms, evoking the sensation of cosmic warfare. This interplay of shape and colour illustrates Rammellzee’s vision of letters as combatants, transcending their traditional communicative role — and stands as one of the most enduring expressions of the visual language he developed at the centre of New York’s underground.

Released by the Estate of Rammellzee as a posthumously-signed giclée fine art print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm, twenty of those prints — plus four artist’s proofs — have been hand-embellished by Torrick ‘TOXIC’ Ablack, working directly onto the print itself and placing his own hand in dialogue with one of Rammellzee’s most recognisable works.

What this means in practice is that each of the twenty-four exists as a singular object. Working directly onto the surface of the print, TOXIC has responded to the composition individually — adding, layering, and intervening across each one in turn. No two carry the same embellishments. No two share the same final composition. Each is a one-of-one within the series.
The result is a release that operates on two levels: a definitive Rammellzee print at its foundation, and a unique TOXIC work realised on top of it. Each print is posthumously signed by Rammellzee front bottom right, and hand-signed by TOXIC front lower left. Each is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity confirming the print as an authentic work, posthumously signed by Rammellzee and individually hand-embellished and signed by TOXIC.

The release is not a retrospective gesture. It is the continuation of a relationship built in the formative years of New York’s underground — between two artists who were not simply contemporaries, but part of the same creative ecosystem. The collaboration places that relationship back in direct dialogue with the work itself.

Released to accompany TOXIC’s solo exhibition ‘ALWAYS EVER SINCE 83’, on view at Woodbury House through 26th June 2026.

“This collaboration is not a retrospective gesture; it is the continuation of a relationship forged in the formative years of New York’s visual underground. TOXIC and Rammellzee were not simply contemporaries, but part of the same creative ecosystem, artists bound by friendship, experimentation, and a shared belief in the transformative power of language and image. Built upon Geo Metrodome, this edition places TOXIC’s hand in direct dialogue with one of Rammellzee’s enduring works. What emerges is not simply a print, but a layered piece that carries the weight of personal history as much as artistic legacy. Rather than revisiting the past, this collaboration extends it, reaffirming the relevance of two artists whose relationship and ideas continue to shape the language of contemporary art.”
